24×7UPDATES: The US Central Command and UK Maritime Trade Operations have warned all ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz that the US military will soon carry out “major US military operations” in the area. They said this is in response to Iran’s “dangerous and illegal” mine-laving activities.
The statement also said that US forces are on “high alert for Iranian attack” because they expect possible retaliation from Tehran. It further warned that any ship blocking the operation or helping with mine-laying could be targeted by US forces.
Trump Will Only Accept ‘Good’ Iran Deal That Satisfies His Red Lines.
U.S. President Donald Trump will only agree to a “good” deal with Iran that meets his “red lines.” a White House official said on Friday (May 29). This came after he ended a Situation Room meeting without announcing any decision.
The official said the meeting lasted about two hours anc confirmed that Iran must never have a nuclear weapon.
The official repeated that Trump will only accept a deal that is good for the United States and follows his red lines.
Earlier, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Trump’s three main demands are that Iran must not try to develop nuclear weapons, must give up its enriched uranium, and must reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Before the meeting, Trump said he would make a “final decision” during the talks. He also repeated that Iran must never have a nuclear weapon and that the Strait of Hormuz must be reopened for free shipping in both directions.
