A former cloth merchant died at an old-age home in Haryana’s Sonipat after a prolonged illness. According to the home, his three daughters did not visit him before his death or attend his funeral. They reportedly watched the last rites over a video call, and one daughter sent ₹5,100 for the funeral expenses. Their version of events has not been made public.
