Raja Kumari – GYAARA (Official Audio)

GYAARA- DEKADE OF KUMARI- NEW PUNJABI SINGLE

Gyaara (11) is one of the most personal records on ZINDABAD: The DEKADE of Kumari. Co-written with Gagan Kooner, it explores mehnat, solitude and divine isolation. My first song in Punjabi, it fulfills a dream I once shared with Sidhu Moose Wala. At its heart is the last voicenote I received from Sidhu: “Don’t worry about it.” His words of encouragement gave me the courage to finally share this part of myself with the world.

Lyrics: GYAARA — Full English Translation

Pachi (25) bore da gallanvey
Takk bharke
-A .25 bore at my side, fully loaded.

Rakha’n khajjall shalaaru’aan nu karke
-I keep these wannabes stressed and scrambling.

Dukki tikki rehndi darke
-The small-time players stay scared.

Ve sun yaara
-Listen, my friend.

⸻

Bombay khende Raja Raja ve
-Bombay calls me Raja, Raja.

Saare kalaakar je khaaja ve
-I could eat all these artists alive.

Jatta tu vi kiddro’n aaja ve
-Jatt, wherever you are, come through too.

Aaja aaja ik ton ik hojiye gyaaraa
-Come, come — let one and one become eleven.

Gyaara = eleven: two powerful “ones” coming together — 1 + 1 → 11, rather than 2.

Raja Verse

You’re now fucking with the best
Now they know my name
From the East to the West
I’m blessed
I earned my respect
If you got a problem
Then say it with your chest

Maarke mein shadti Grammy takk jhatt ni
-I smashed my way all the way to the Grammys.

Hun jede bukde Coachella’an te jatt ni
-Now the Jatts are roaring at Coachella.

Ghat ni Kumari kisse naalon ghat ni
-Kumari isn’t less than anybody.

Vadh ghat bolde jo, buthe karaan shut ni
-Anyone talking out of line, I shut their mouth.

Shut ni, shut ni, shut the fuck up bitch

Tere wargi nu jaandi ni titch
-I don’t give a damn about someone like you.

Vich vich gallan hor karein
-Behind my back, you talk differently.

Aivein tu bore karein
-You just bore me with all that talk.

Raja nu adore karein
-You adore Raja.

Duniya eh shore kare
-The whole world makes noise about her.

Jatta je gall utte gaur karein
-Jatt, if you really think about it—

Kiddhe Koonera Kumari ton je Kaur karein
-Tell me, Kooner — could you turn this Kumari into a Kaur?

Sidhu Voice Note

Hello Raja, hope tusi theek hovoge,
Mainu bhut kaint laggeya gana,
Eh gana pakka 101% apa karde aa.
Don’t worry about it.

English:
“Hello Raja, hope you’re doing well. I thought the song was really dope. We’re definitely doing this song — 101%. Don’t worry about it.”

Kaint here is strong Punjabi praise: dope, killer, badass, amazing.

⸻

Hindi bolan je Amreeka aali dass de
-When I speak Hindi, they call me the American girl.

Otthe Indian keh ke taane kas de
-Over there, they taunt me for being Indian.

Kise dassan je SIDHU naal US de
-But tell them about “US” with Sidhu—

Oh gall hor ae
-That’s a whole different story.

“US” is the Raja Kumari × Sidhu Moosewala song “US,” not simply the United States. The placement also creates a double meaning because the preceding bars are about being American and Indian.

⸻

Je kite chhapdi Punjabi vich boldan
-If I start talking that ghetto/street Punjabi—

Gullyian de rapper mein gulliyan ch roldan
-I’ll roll these gully rappers through the streets.

Hunn kathon firda Kumari nu tu tolda
Bitch mutayaara ch
-Now you’re searching for Kumari among all these bitches —
but you can’t find another one.

The implication: you can look through all these other women for another Kumari, but she doesn’t exist.

⸻

They tried to take from me
Karma coming round for my enemies
All eyes on me
They can never hide from their jealousy

They tried to take from me
They could never pull me down
Pray for my enemies
Now karma coming back around
Protect your energy
And they could never take the crown

⸻

Bombay khende Raja Raja ve
-Bombay calls me Raja, Raja.

Saare kalaakar je khaaja ve
-I could eat all these artists alive.

Jatta tu vi kiddro’n aaja ve
-Jatt, wherever you are, come through too.

Aaja aaja ik ton ik hojiye gyaaraa
-Come, come — let one and one become eleven.
