Russian couple Ivan Kuznetsov and Angela Nikolau, are facing criminal charges after scaling the spire of New York City’s iconic Empire State Building without authorization. The pair reportedly climbed to the top of the landmark, unfurled a banner carrying a message about peace, and shared photos and videos of the stunt on social media. Authorities later escorted them down safely before arresting them. They have been charged with offenses including burglary and criminal trespass and are scheduled to return to court in August.
