ਏਦਾਂ ਅਕਸਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਏ, ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਚੱਲੀਂ, ਰਸਤਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ! ਪਹਿਲੀ, ਦੂਜੀ, ਤੀਜੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਓਹੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੱਲੀਂ, ਰਸਤਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ! ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੇ ਥੱਕਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਮੋੜ ; ਕਿ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਛੱਡਣੀ ਨੀ ! This often happens, accept it & walk on ; The road is not easy ! First time, second time, third time ; Keep returning to the same doorway, The road is not easy. What if even the weary are turned away at the threshold ? I will never stop doing the hardwork !
ਸਿਦਕ਼ ਸਿਰੜ ਨਾਲ਼ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਯਾਰੀ ਲਾਉਣ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਾਲ਼, ਗੱਲ ਜੱਚਦੀ ਨੀ ! ਤੜਕੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਦੌੜਨ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਸੈਰ ਕਰਨ ਜੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨਾਲ਼, ਗੱਲ ਜੱਚਦੀ ਨੀ ! ਸੇਕ ਦਵੇ ਜੇ ਤਲੑਖ਼ ਦੁਪਹਿਰਾ, ਛਾਂ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਦਊ ਬੋਹੜ; ਕਿ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਛੱਡਣੀ ਨੀ ! Those who nurture the faith and perseverance, Do not suit a life of comfort ! And those who rise at dawn to run Do not stroll leisurely in the evenings ! It does not suit them ! If the harsh afternoon gives you heat, The banyan will also give you shade ; So never stop doing the hardwork !
ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਉੱਦਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੜੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤਹਿਰੀਰਾਂ, ਸੁਣੀਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ! ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਤਕ਼ਦੀਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਦਬੀਰਾਂ, ਸੁਣੀਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ! ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਤਾਬ ‘ਚ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਰੱਖ ਲਈਂ ਵਰਕ ਮਰੋੜ ; ਕਿ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਛੱਡਣੀ ਨੀ ! I have heard many writings speak of enterprise & endeavours ; Listen to the elders ! What destiny & planning say to one another, Listen to the elders. ਗੱਲ ਤਾਂ ਵੈਸੇ ਜਾਯਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਅਜ਼ਲੋਂ ਹੀ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਆਈ ਏ, ਹੁਣ ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ ! ਕਾਮੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੇਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਔਖਿਆਈ ਏ, ਹੁਣ ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ ! ਮਿਹਨਤ-ਕਸ਼ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਕਿਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਥੋੜ; ਕਿ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਛੱਡਣੀ ਨੀ ! The matter may not seem fair, But it has gone on since eternity ! What can we do? Hardship is written mostly in the fate of workers & labourers ; What can we do? Yet for those who labour sincerely, There is never any real lack ! So never stop doing the hardwork !
