An outbreak of the deadly Nipah virus in India’s eastern state of West Bengal has sparked concern in China ahead of the busy Lunar New Year holiday when millions travel. The virus has infected at least five people in West Bengal, including one who has been left in critical condition. However, Chinese health experts say the illness is not easily transmitted and is less likely to spread in China than in India.
