Today we made a traditional Maharashtrian sweet – Policha Laddu using leftover rotis in a beautiful village mud kitchen.
First the rotis were roasted until crispy, then crushed into fine crumbs.
After that melted jaggery, ghee, chopped almonds, and grated coconut were mixed together to create a delicious sweet mixture.
Finally small lemon-sized laddoos were shaped by hand.
