Direct Accountability: Heads of departments are now primarily responsible for corruption, even if they were not directly involved in the illicit activity.
Zero Tolerance: The move aligns with a broader push for good governance following recent youth-led anticorruption protests.
Scope: The accountability measures cover public service delivery, development work, revenue administration, and procurement processes, according to the Prime Minister’s Office circular as reported by MyRepublica[/url].
