A massive flash flood swept away villages near the Nepal-China border on Wednesday, killing many and prompting a helicopter rescue operation, while Tibet reported major casualties from a related mudslide.
Sisters Ashna and Shreya Ahuja are desperately waiting for news of their parents after flash floods struck Nepal.
Deepak and Madhu Ahuja had travelled from Texas, US, to Mount Kailash on a pilgrimage organised by the spiritual group Isha Foundation to celebrate Deepak’s 60th birthday.
They are among the hundreds of people still missing after the deadly floods struck the Nepal-Tibet border on Wednesday.
“We just love them a lot and we want them to come home,” the siblings told the BBC.
