The Chief Minister of India’s Punjab State was hospitalised with a severe stomach ache after drinking a glass of polluted water from the river Kali Bein considered holy to Sikhs, according to local news reports.

Minister Bhagwant Mann drank the water on July 17 to prove its sterility.
