Viral: Indian Diplomat Reacts to Pakistan PM’s Claim | Shehbaz Sharif 2026 UNGA Speech | N18G – gabrutube.fun

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif turned his address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York into yet another attempt to amplify Islamabad’s narrative on the 2025 conflict with India.
However, an Indian diplomat’s dismissive smirk appeared to sum up New Delhi’s response to the rhetoric. Cameras present there captured the moment, which has since gone viral on social media.
“Water must never be weaponized. Rivers should nourish nations, not divide them. Therefore, any attempt to stop, impede, or divert Pakistan’s share of the waters will be treated as an act of war. India must make no mistake about it,” said Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking on regional security and international affairs, Sharif stated that a year ago Pakistan faced external aggression from India under a false pretext and exercised its right of self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. He said Pakistan’s armed forces, under Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, repulsed the attack. Sharif stated that intervention by US President Donald Trump saved hundreds of millions of lives when two nuclear-armed neighbours stood at the brink of an all-out war.

Sharif stated that regional stability requires a fair solution to the Kashmir dispute, observing that the Kashmiri people have waited eight decades for a United Nations plebiscite. He pledged continued diplomatic, political, and moral support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, affirming that Kashmir remains Pakistan’s jugular vein.

Addressing the Indus River system, Sharif called the shared waters the lifeblood of Pakistan and argued that India’s decision to hold the existing treaty in abeyance lacks legal standing, stating that the Court of Arbitration and UN experts have vindicated Pakistan’s position.

On the subject of counter-terrorism, Sharif claimed Pakistan has lost nearly one hundred thousand lives and sustained more than one hundred and fifty billion dollars in economic damage fighting terror networks. He alleged that Afghan territory is being used by groups including the TTP and BLA to launch cross-border attacks, calling on the Afghan administration to halt such incursions and safeguard the fundamental rights of Afghan citizens, particularly women and girls.

Sharif highlighted the contributions of Pakistani personnel to United Nations peacekeeping operations. He also addressed rising Islamophobia, criticising Hindutva ideology across the border and citing the recent demolition of a 150-year-old mosque in Saharanpur, India, concluding that religious hatred must find no place globally.
