Indian pilot Smit Machhar averted a potential crash of a flight bound for Israel from Dubai. Today, the entire world is praying for Smit Machhar’s speedy recovery; Prime Minister Modi, PM Netanyahu, and President Donald Trump have hailed him as a hero. Meanwhile, the Israeli public has begun praising Hindus; prominent Israeli figure Avi Avidan expressed gratitude to Hindus and India, while influential UAE figure Amjad Taha compared Smit Machhar to Lord Hanuman and Arjuna. However, foreign media outlets pursued their own agenda; upon realizing that the pilot was Indian and Hindu while the attacker was Muslim, their enthusiasm vanished, and they completely twisted the narrative. CNN, AFP, Sky News, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the BBC all portrayed the incident merely as a clash between two pilots.
