On July 1, 2026…two Russian climbers – Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus – secretly went up the Empire State Building (1454 feet tall) without ropes or safety gear.

They reached the very top spire, opened a big black banner that said: ‘When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.’

While coming down… Ivan proposed to Angela. They got engaged there.

Police arrested them after they reached the bottom.

They are well-known for dangerous rooftop climbs and have a Netflix documentary called Skywalkers: A Love Story. It was a mix of a romantic proposal…peace message….nd risky stunt.
