🚨 Batala Firing Incident | One Dead, Three Seriously Injured After Gunfire Following Road Rage Clash
A shocking firing incident has been reported from Batala city, Punjab, where a dispute between two car drivers near Simbal Chowk on the Batala-Gurdaspur Road turned deadly. The incident created panic in the busy market area as multiple rounds of gunfire were allegedly exchanged between the two groups.
According to initial reports, the argument started over giving way to vehicles on the road. What began as a verbal altercation quickly escalated into a violent confrontation. One of the vehicles reportedly had a Nihang Singh youth, while the other car was occupied by three young men. Following the heated exchange, both sides allegedly opened fire on each other.
In the firing, one youth lost his life, while three others sustained serious bullet injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The condition of the injured is said to be critical.
The incident caused chaos in the area, and local residents immediately informed the police. Senior police officials reached the spot, secured the area, and launched an investigation. CCTV footage from nearby locations is also being examined to determine the exact sequence of events.
Police have assured that strict action will be taken against those found responsible. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
