Tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate as the United States and Israel intensify strikes against Iran. According to reports, the US Central Command claims that thousands of targets inside Iran have been hit, while Iran says it has targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and even claims to have disabled it. Meanwhile, Iran-backed militias say they have shot down an American aircraft in Iraq. Israel has also launched new strikes on Tehran as the conflict widens.
In another major development, the Pentagon claims that Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has been injured and is in hiding. At the same time, rallies in support of the Iranian government have taken place in Tehran, where explosions were also reported near a gathering.
